This was another great post by blo0d angel.
Controlling
the battle! This is the most important factor to
winning. It is when battles become slugging matches
that your units die. If I find myself with BG spent
and health getting low I will retreat to regroup.
About 90% of my games end with me getting over 70
kills and under 10 deaths. When you truly control
the battle you should loose almost no units. This
is accomplished like this:
Defense:
Keep
your army far behind your tower (You only truly
need one tower if you have a good army). Put a stardust
or 2 infront of your tower incase he tries to burn
it down with raiders or pitch before he attacks.
When he attacks stardust him and charge your army
from behind your tower. The second your army is
about to engage activate stun. While he is stunned
you should hit him with your super kegs and trample
him with any horses. You will kill most of his army
with that whirlwind of destruction and the rest
will be greatly outnumbered and should be wrapped
up easily. Don't counter attack right away. Take
some time to heal and recharge any BG then take
some fire arrows or ID pks and take out all of his
towers. Once his towers are down go attack. You
can just let your troops run amok among his base
and you will probably win but since I like loosing
few units I have my melle hold ground just outside
of his base and burn things down with fire arrows
to keep things under control.
Offense
1:
Do NOT! attack when the enemy has a tower up. If
you attack where they have a tower they will have
control of the battle because of tower charges and
because they basically own that territory. Always
take towers down first with fire arrow or indirect
fire. You can still win with a tower up but you
will loose many more units and he has a much better
chance of winning. I like to put up offensive towers
so I can see well and so I have a fallback position.
Once the offensive tower is up put your melle behind
it. Set up a few pks with ID fire and start taking
out his towers and targeting explosive weak units.
He pretty much has to attack so when he does stun
stardust and kill. Just like in the defense thread
above.
I
hope this helps. When you see what happens when
you do this right you will laugh. I have killed
equal sized armies in like 3 seconds with no casualties.
