whats the best way to kill ballista towers late
game? they have same range as id fire from flat
ground and outrange archers. plus ballista towers
with king of the mountain kill most dragon units
in 3 hits, archers in 2 and geishas in 1. they
also cost only 50rice and rebuild fast. whats
the deal! one ballista tower is better than arrah
tower! try killing 4 of those suckas. im talking
about the map freedom where there is no high ground
cept in the corners, and that always gets covered
by towers anyway.

Well, if your talking strictly any unit, Samurai
with the Dragon Skin upgrade will be able to do
the trick. While thier DS BG is in effect, they
won't take any damage from the shots fired from
the Wolf Balista unit in the tower. While this
will work strictly against towers alone with very
little problems, your units will soon be attacked
by the wolf units on the ground while their attacking
the wolf tower as well, but that's a different
matter all together really. |

druids deactivate the dragon skin when they hit
ur sams, plus dragon skin doesnt last long enough
when the sams running at a tower.... especialy
not to kill more than 1

i think the answer may be chemists with starburst
and dmg upgrade with dragon skin sams in front.
5
chemists can kill 3 towers ez. havent seen how
they do vs ballistas tho

I would use hit and run fire arrows. Fire one
volley, get out, rinse, repeat. It's far safer
than engaging with melee units.

I think using 4-5 dragon warriors with flame sword
might work.

fire arrows works for me ...hit and run...but
kinda difficult

just build a tower just outside of their towers
range and put arah in it and then back her up
with pk cannoneers with indirect fire and just
smash his whole base from afar untill he comes
2 you then attack him with your main army
w00t!

Aye, inderect fire is the way to go.

indirect fire is a good idea.
But ulaw tried this exact strategy on me in 1v1
@ freedom. I think the best way to deal with offensive
towers is to just ignore them. If the towers are
outside your base, then they aren't back at his.
I ran around his towers and nailed his base.

Well,
since Ballistamen take a mighty long time to load
his arrows, you just rush at the tower. He might
nail you once or twice with the tower charge,
but just crowd around the tower and destroy it.

braver, you obviously have never seen 3 ballsita
towers with king of the mountain upgrade, they
kill ur guys in 1-2 hits and have good accuracy.

I
think this is maybe the best answer. Chemists
have good resistance to the ballistamen's piercing
attack, and with their rocket BG they can take
down watchtowers like almost nobody. One volley
from a half dozen will knock it right down I
think.

Sam with dragon skin 4-5 tiles into tower range(
only need 1 ) or DW with chi shield. Since he
can't choose which units to target, it will only
attack the sam/dw. Then come in with fire archers,
fire one volley at each tower. Then better get
ready to attack, because at 50 rice it costs nothing
to rebuild the towers. I think thats probably
the best option, anything else will get tower
stuned. Btw, the towers being unable to fire on
a unit directly below it is not a weakness you
can exploit. 4 towers will continually fire at
something as they cover each other, not only that
but all the ground units will rape you when your
stunned by tower. Some people seem to think attacking
towers with melee is an option, well its not. |

thnx mystic, thats an excelent idea.

You should see towers on a hill with all the upgrades,
sometimes it will take out a full health archer
in 1 shot thats just SICK!! |

Myself, I play on maps where this is not an option.
If it's a 1v1, I only build two towers. I never
need more.

So sorry, I have done this mistake a lot of time,
I was assuming you guys were talking about a single
tower.
Damn,
next time I should read more carefully before
answering.
Anyway,
I think Dragon Skin is the answer, or if you
have 20 yangs, Yang Blade is it, no kidding,
I have tried it, I destroyed a keep with 6 Samurai
in less than 8 seconds with Yang Blade.

hey Pin he let you run around his towers ? on
freedom he should be able to see the whole corridor.
The main reason I use the indirect fire\arah in
tower tactic is to either kill his towers or lure
him away from them because your chances of winning
a battle are increased tenfold when it takes place
infront of your towers. Also I never risk bringing
him charging at me unless I am confident my army
can beat his so I would have engaged you with
my army when you tried to run by then killed it
and proceeded to bombard your base once more
