I harassed a Clan Unity member (Pin) with a bunch of questions, here are his answers (the stuff in bold).

• Samurai
  • How do Yang blades work? Do they give me more yang or work better with more yang or what?
    • It does more damage when you have more yang
• Archers and Sumo Keg Guys
  • Which is better? Sumo Kegs always seem to get owned. Like, always. Archers can at least retreat...
    • Both units have their own strenghts, archers for their speed, range and cheap price and sumos for the big explosive damage that can take down buildings.
      
  • Whats a 'super keg'?
    • A super keg is a battle gear obtained through the fireworks factory, its a one time shot that does super damage.
• Upgrades/Battle Gear
  
• Which are worth using? and what is the best?
  • If you want to be a successful dragon play you will have to use a lot battle gear. Which ones is up to you but they should fit a general game strategy. All the battle gear is useful, but flash powder should usually be used. Another thing that people usually overlook are horses. Horses aren't exactly battle gear but they realyl boost your economy and make your fighters a lot better. Try mounting dragon warriors, running kabuki in and flashing, then using trample.
• Whats the flash powder glitch? (dunno heard it mentioned or something)
  • Never happened to me
• Rushing
  • Can Dragons do it at all?
    • Yes, althought if you want a rush that kills them it will take a little longer. Kabukis and chemists is a good rush (make sure you have the fireworks battle gear)
  • How do I not get owned by it?
    • Dragon usually takes a little longer to get the good units out, so this is important. You want an archer in a tower, that is the key to blocking a rush. More spearmen and archers, and maybe one or two kabuki, will definately block any early rushes. (sidenote - also see geisha tower )
• Dragon Monument
  • Worth using?
    • Yes, like ulaw said, huge fire damage over large area. Especially with a lot of dragon's area of effect attacks this baby will own a huge army(especially mounted) in an instant
  • Are the 4 Samurai better?
    • No, samurais are overrated, they have more health, and more damage, but the battle gear just isn't useful enough (dragonskin takes up energy too fast, and you should be using all your yang). 4 samurais just cant do that much damage that fast whitout taking any.
  • How much damage does the beasty do? And what type of damage? and against what units/buildings?
    • It doesn't hurt buildings(good call by liquid!) and it will take most units down to red health while killing weaker units, peasants and mounted units. THe key to using the dragon's monument is to weaken the enemy's army so that your army will be free to finish off his base, or your ass will be saved from an attack.
